From New York City (approximately 185 miles)
Take the Taconic State Parkway north to Route 295 east (last exit before toll) to Route 22; go north to Route 43 (Stephentown, N.Y.); go east on Route 43 to the intersection of Route 7; turn left onto Route 7 and go north into Williamstown.

Once in Williamstown:

Go past the Milne Public Library on your right. At the stop sign, turn right onto South Street (there will be a sign for the Clark Art Institute just before the stop sign). Go approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to the Clark will be on the right. Proceed for a couple hundred yards and the entrance to Buxton School will be straight ahead.

From New Jersey
Take the Garden State Parkway to the New York State Thruway (Route 87) north to I-84 east to the Taconic State Parkway north. Take Route 295 east (last exit before toll)
to Route 22; go north to Route 43 (Stephentown, NY); go east on Route 43 to the intersection of Route 7; turn left onto Route 7 and go north into Williamstown.
Once in Williamstown:

Go past the Milne Public Library on your right. At the stop sign, turn right onto South Street (there will be a sign for the Clark Art Institute just before the stop sign). Go approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to the Clark will be on the right. Proceed for a couple hundred yards and the entrance to Buxton School will be straight ahead.


F
rom Boston (approximately 150 miles)
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike west to Exit 2 (Lee, MA). Turn right off the exit ramp onto Route 20 west towards Lee/Pittsfield. Follow Route 20 west to Route 7 north through Pittsfield and on into Williamstown.
Once in Williamstown:
Go past the Milne Public Library on your right. At the stop sign, turn right onto South Street (there will be a sign for the Clark Art Institute just before the stop sign). Go approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to the Clark will be on the right. Proceed for a couple hundred yards and the entrance to Buxton School will be straight ahead.

From Boston
(
approximately 150 miles)
Take Route 2 west from Boston to Williamstown.
Once in Williamstown:

As you enter town, proceed past Williams College and into a small rotary around the green. Drive three-quarters of the way around the rotary (past the Williams Inn and Milne Public Library). At the stop sign, turn right onto South Street (there will be a sign for the Clark Art Institute just before the stop sign). Go approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to the Clark will be on the right. Proceed for a couple hundred yards and the entrance to Buxton School will be straight ahead.

rom the Albany area (approximately 50 miles)
Take Interstate 87 north to Exit 7. Take NY Route 7 going east. In Center Brunswick, make a right turn onto Route 278, then a left onto Route 2 east. Follow Route 2 (which merges with US Route 7) into Williamstown.
Once in Williamstown:
Go past the Milne Public Library on your right. At the stop sign, turn right onto South Street (there will be a sign for the Clark Art Institute just before the stop sign). Go approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to the Clark will be on the right. Proceed for a couple hundred yards and the entrance to Buxton School will be straight ahead.


From the North
Travel south on US Route 7 from Vermont into Massachusetts.
Once in Williamstown:
Take a right at the intersection of Routes 7 and 2. Drive three-quarters of the way around the rotary (past the Williams Inn and Milne Public Library). At the stop sign, turn right onto South Street (there will be a sign for the Clark Art Institute just before the stop sign). Go approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to the Clark will be on the right. Proceed for a couple hundred yards and the entrance to Buxton School will be straight ahead.
