Buxton School is a high school serving students in grades 9 through 12. The school also offers a post-graduate year for students who have completed high school and want an additional year of academic, personal, and college preparation.

As a small boarding and day community, Buxton encourages students to take an active role in shaping their school experience.
Buxton emphasizes small, discussion-based classes that allow students to receive meaningful individual attention from faculty. Arts classes are typically especially small, with many having seven or fewer students, supporting close mentorship and hands-on learning.
